Janice Larvin Obituary

Janice Eleanor Larvin Age 72, of Artesia, California, passed away November 25, 2010. She was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin to the late George Bradley Morey and Eleanor Harriett Capener Morey. She is survived by her children, Vernon David Worsham II, Mrs. Lori Julianne Brotherton, Randall Stuart Worsham, Martin Alan Doty, Matt Peterson, and her foster son, Jesse Costa. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many special friends and family members in Wisconsin, Missouri and Ohio. Jan was a manager when she retired from General Telephone Company after 27 years and in the last couple of years had joined a memoir writing class at Cerritos Community College. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Artesia, as well as a cantor and director of the 9:30 choir. Visitation will be December 1 from 3:00-7:00pm at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Cypress; rosary at 6:00pm. Funeral at 10:00am on December 2 at Holy Family Catholic Church on Clarkdale Street in Artesia. Pall bearers will be Randy Worsham, Marty Doty, Peter Mazziliano, Terry Rowland, Rick Martinez and Dean Stroup. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in Jan's name. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries (800) 204-3131

Jan was a special friend. She is sadly missed in our writing group. She was an inspiration during her illness. She loved life and especially her family. I'm sorry she never sang for us but her speaking voice was very beautiful. Rest in Peace Dear Friend.
