Jeannette F. Weidemann Obituary
Jeannette F. Weidemann
Jeannette Frieda Weidemann (83) passed away November 7, 2012 at Aegis of Dana Point, CA. She was surrounded by loved ones prior to her passing and will be dearly missed. Born in Schenectady, New York, September 27, 1929 to Herman and Frieda Nied, she spent her early years near Camden, New Jersey where she loved swimming, basketball and ice skating, and spending the summers at Medford Lakes. Jeannette worked in her father's machine shop and also as an operator for AT&T. It was then that she met the love of her life, Bob Weidemann - an Electrical Engineer working for RCA. Married June 5, 1954, work brought the couple to So. Calif in the late 50's. Following the aerospace industry, Bob & Jeannette lived in San Diego, Bel Air, Northridge, and finally settled in Highland, Calif in 1965. Here they spent the next 33 years raising a family of 4 children; always promoting scholastic, business, and community involvement.
Jeannette loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed many camping vacations at San Elijo State Beach and Sequoia Nat'l Park. She was also very gifted at bringing nature's beauty home in both her artwork and landscape design. The yard was always vibrant and in "tip-top" shape; and many will continue to enjoy her fantastic seascape, mountain, and country oil paintings. She was truly an accomplished artist.
Jeannette always loved family get-togethers at her home, where the food was hot, the beer was cold, and "sit long talk much" was enjoyed by all. She also loved traveling with her husband Bob, and they enjoyed many adventures together. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, with whom she is now reunited. She is survived by a brother, Arthur Nied of Fallbrook, CA; a sister, Luisa Zamsky of Point Manalapan, Florida; and her children: Bob Weidemann of Hemet; Louise Milner of Irvine; Laura Hibbs of Yorba Linda; and Fred Weidemann of Redlands; 10 grand children; and 6 great grand children.
Jeannette had a great love and respect of nature, so if you would like to honor her please plant a tree or bush in her remembrance. A celebration of her life will be held November 24th at the Hemet residence of Bob & Julie Weidemann
