Jordan Corder Obituary
"Our department is grieving as a family does," said Covina Police Department Capt. Derek Webster. "We will never be the same without Jordan."
Corder is the son of retired Covina Police Capt. Mark Corder. He grew up in Covina and graduated from Charter Oak High School.
Corder was hired as a community service officer at the Covina Police Department on Nov. 6, 2006. He was then hired as a police officer at the department less than a year later, on Oct. 9, 2007, and assigned to the traffic unit as a motorcycle officer last May. Corder was married with no children.

To Jordan, and your loved ones.....I did not now you personally but you and our family are dear friends of my dear friends. I hurt for all of you. I don't know how or what to say to help except that there are people you don't know, loving you and praying for you. My father is also retired law enforcement and I have utmost respect for the position you chose to protect and serve. I know you were an exceptional officer and human being and your parents and loved ones couldn't be more proud. I don't understand why God needed you now, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service and upstanding stature of a man. May you RIP with Jesus. My heart is with his wife. I was sad to hear about his passing. His wife is a very talented. Happy charismatic woman and I can imagine the pain she must be going through. I know I would be destroyed and I only wish There was something I could do for her, but I'm sure she has family that will help her get through this difficult time.
