JULIA J. DEASON

JULIA J. DEASON (Formerly Kalnas) Age 70, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2010, at her home in Cherry Valley, after a short battle with cancer. She was born November 9, 1939, to Ernest & Katherine Pfister, who had immigrated from Europe to Ellis Island. They settled in Montana, where she was born and grew up. She was a resident of San Bernardino for over 40 years before moving to Cherry Valley. She worked for the County of San Bernardino Public Health Department for 13 years before retiring. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. Julia is survived by her husband of 28 years, Paul Deason; sons, Rick Kalnas, Mike Kalnas (wife, Linda); daughter, Kathy Miller (husband, Mark); her grandchildren, Jake and Alyssa Miller, Kayla, Kourtney, Kassidy Kalnas; Nicholas Garcia; her sister, JoAnn Tomlin; brothers, Rudy, Walt, Fred and Bill Pfister; stepchildren, Lori, Janice, Karen Deason. She was very involved in her grandchildren's lives and loved spending time watching their sporting and cheerleading events. Grammy J was very much loved and will be greatly missed.
