Latasia Soto Obituary

SOTO-Latasia Yvonne Soto, passed away October 8, 2010. She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by her family, friends and everyone who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Gina Maese; father, Steven Soto; brother, Lamar Soto; grandparents, Gil & Dolly Soto, Theresa Aldecoa; stepmother, Michelle Soto, siblings, Desiree, Josh; aunt, Maggie; uncles, Ralph, James, Brian; cousins, Jamie, Zachary, RT; and a host of other loving family and friends. Services 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 18, 2010, Sky Rose Chapel, Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier. Interment, Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier. Rose Hills Mortuary, Whittier, Directing.

It's hard to believe that it has been 10 months since you left us. We loved you so much but apparently God loved you more so he took you before we all were ready. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you I know someday I will be able to see you again and tell you how much you are loved. Happy Birthday Girly!!!!

Latasia, you were and will always be a bright beautiful young lady. I remember you at a younger age as I knew your mom, Gina, when we and whole gang worked for IN-N-OUT. May you rest in peace and always be around to watch over your loved ones especially your mother. Your mom Gina loves you so much and lived every moment of her life for you and Lamar. I know she was and will continue to be a wonderful mother, but her heart is broken now and she will forever carry a heaviness in her heart. Lord please help her mother Gina, her father and her family get through this......my deepest condolences.

Tasia, it was an honor and a blessing to know and love you. You have given me so many memories as my student, my teacher assistant, and my friend. I will always remember your sparkling eyes and your contagious laughter- from the first time I met you in my freshman class to the hilarious times we had in our senior class! Those years just seem to have flown by. I can still hear your voice shaking with nervousness as you forged ahead with your sr. project practice presentation and I can still see your blinding smile as we hugged the day you successfully completed that speech. Tasia, you have given me so many wonderful memories that I will always cherish. I will never forget your joy of life and laughter. Thank you for blessing my life. You will never be forgotten.

Tonight, we were able to honor the memory of Tasia at TGI Fridays In Brea. We held an all day benefit and were able to raise over $5000.00 in Tasia's honor. Words will never convey the great person that Tasia was. We were lucky to have her here for a while, but God needed her a little bit more then we did. We will always remember her for her smile and personality that could light up a room. You are gone but will never be forgotten Latasha Yvonne Soto.
