Laurie Keck Chamberlain (Harriet) passed away at age 77 in Riverside, CA on July 18, 2014. Born in Flushing, NY to parents Margaret and Halbert Keck, she grew up in Woodbury, CT, graduated from Dana Hall School, and attended Mills College. She married Willard Thomas Chamberlain on November 20, 1965 and celebrated the births of her son (1966) and daughter (1968). Laurie was an active hospital volunteer and hospice worker for over 30 years in Barrington, IL; Pasadena, CA; and Riverside, CA; she was an avid painter, enthusiastic world traveler, masterful chef, dedicated church deacon, and chronic crossword puzzler. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her son Hunter Chamberlain, daughter Thatcher Carter, son-in-law Ross Carter, grandchildren Max and Emily Carter, partner Charles Lum, sister Elizabeth Keck, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverside. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Riverside Art Museum or The National Hospice Foundation.
