LENT, Elizabeth Paine

Elizabeth Paine Lent, Our beloved
"Libby" will be missed by so many of us for her humor, strength, wonderful stories and her libbyisms. Libby succumbed to pneumonia on August 24th peacefully, at her home in Pasadena, CA. Born July 26, 1914 in Duluth, MN, daughter of Parker and Ruah Paine. She has been a resident of Pasadena since 1962 and was active in the community by giving of her time and generosity to her church, animal rescue, health services, services for the disadvantaged and many others. Libby is preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen J. Lent, Jr. and is survived by her nieces Penny Nichols, Elizabeth Paine, and Lotte Lent, nephew Rob Lent, great nephews Brian Nichols and Billy Vogelson III, great nieces Katherine Nichols, Lauren Nichols, and Jessica Armstrong, and great-great nieces, Danielle, Isabel and Parker and great-great nephew, Sean, and very special friends Josephine Wilson and Sandra Pagan.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 14 at St. Edmond's Episcopal Church, 1175 San Gabriel Blvd., San Marino, CA with a reception to follow. Burial will follow at a later date in Hull, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Canine Companions for Independence (www.cci.org) or Dogs for the Deaf (www.dogsforthedeaf.org), or the .
