Lou Sobieski Obituary

SOBIESKI-Lou Ann, passed away on August 21, 2010, at her home in Pasadena, California. Lou Ann was born September 19, 1935 in Salem, Oregon, and moved to Mount Vernon, Washington, at the age of seven. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and Willamette University where she pledged Delta Gamma. She met her husband at Stanford University. She founded the library at Sequoyah School and served as its librarian for 25 years. After retiring, she stayed active in children's literature. She loved good books, travel, and the Arts. Most of all, she loved her family and her many friends. She is survived by her husband, John, of 51 years, children John, Anne and Michael and grandchildren Sarah, Katherine and Michael Dean. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Memorial services will be held at All Saints Church in Pasadena, Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Sequoyah School, 535 S.
