MARY ALICE KLER

passed away peacefully on 12/20/10, at the age of 79. Born in Haxtun, CO, and recently resided in Hemet, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, August Kler. Together they served as missionaries in Cuba, and later settled in Upland. She taught at Summit Elementary until a tragic accident in 1968. Mary is survived by her sister, Margaret Thoburn of CO; 3 brothers, Charles Kurtzer of CA, Dave Kurtzer of CA, and Dick Kurtzer of CO; 3 children, Robert "Bob" Kler (Kathy), Edward Kler (Rosa), and Rosemary Kler Stayonoff (Tom); 6 grandchildren, Karleen Kler Mowery and Todd Kler, Raphael and Joseph Kler, Katelyn and John Stayonoff; and 3 great grandchildren, McKenzie, Kole and Kendall Mowery. Memorial will be held on 12/30/10, at First Presby terian Church of Upland at 2:00 P.M., 869 N. Euclid Ave., Upland, CA.
