Nancy Lee Seger Raynesford

June 16, 1942 - April 16, 2014

Nancy was born June 16, 1942, to Henry Leopold Seger and Leta Van Andel Seger, in Boise Idaho. As a small child she went with her family to Japan for two years, to be with her father, who was stationed there in our army after World War II. Nancy graduated from Redondo Union High School, Long Beach State College and Fullerton State College, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree, and an education credential. She taught school in the Santa Ana, Sacramento, and Torrance areas for some thirty-five years. In her life, she traveled to Europe, Asia, and Mexico. She had a lifelong love of entertaining. She was well-known for the tea parties she hostessed in her lovely home, which continued until her passing. She was a devoted church member and wife to Jim, and was involved in charitable organizations, and was a founder of the Victorian Tea and Share a Book Club. Nancy is survived by her mother's sister, Maxine Leymaster; brother, Jerry Seger; his sons Larry and Paul and their families; cousins John and Gary Leymaster and their families; husband Jim and his son Todd and his family.

There will be a memorial service in Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, 3401 Studebaker Road, Long Beach, Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.presstelegram.com/obits.
