Nicholas "Nick" Baldivia, Jr.
76, of Alta Loma passed away July 31, 2012 at home. He was born May 7, 1936 in Pomona,CA and lived in Alta Loma 60 years. He was retired from Chino Basin Municipal Water District where he worked as a Water Chemical Technician for 27 years. He was an avid "River Rat" and a member of the "Shack Alley" group. Nick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed working on old cars, watching the fights with his friends, yard sales and looking for a great deal wherever it could be found. He is survived by his wife, Hortencia "Ortie"; 2 children, Monica Stephenson; Steven Dean Lopez, all of Alta Loma. 1 brother, Michael Baldivia, Redlands; 9 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his dad, Nicholas; mother, Louisa, 2 brothers, Robert & Johnny; twin sister, Gloria & his son, Michael. Visitation will be 9:15 am Friday (08/10) with Rosary at 10:00 am at Stone Funeral Home. Chapel Prayers will be 11:00 am at the funeral home & burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park. Nick was always thought of as a character and a man that you could always count on. He loved life, his wife, "Ortie" and time with his family more than anything.
