Patricia Ann Eatinger
Age 80, of Grand Terrace, CA, passed away peacefully on 6/30/2013. She was born on 8/21/1932 in Chicago Il. to her parents, John C. and Dorothy E. Houha. Patricia was the oldest of 3 children. Patricia graduated from Trinity High School in River Forest Il in 1950. Patricia worked as a medical receptionist until marrying in 1955. She then began her career as a military wife, traveling around the world while raising her 7 children. The family arrived in Highland California in 1968, where she lived for the next 30+ years, before residing in Grand Terrace.
Patricia was the PTA President for Barton Elementary school, and served as a Eucharist Minister for Saint Adelaide's Catholic church while operating a daycare center from her home.
Patricia's life was dedicated to her children and grand- children. Her unselfish attitude was second to none. Her dedication to her children provided the backbone of their successes today. She also had an incredible sense of humor, her laugh was big, her heart was bigger. Patricia loved to cook for everyone, but her famous Strawberry Ice Cream Pie (secret family recipe) is loved by all.
Patricia is survived by her 7 children, Mary Bixler of Lake Forest Ca, Robert Eatinger Jr. of Reston Va, Susan Cordova of Highland Ca, William Eatinger of Highland Ca, Elizabeth Pope of Grand Terrace Ca, Eileen Lumpkin of Highland Ca. and Michael Eatinger of Grand Terrace Ca. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Mlady of River Forest Il and brother John C. Houha Jr. of Albuquerque, NM. Her memory will live on through her 17 grand children and her 19 great grand children.
Services will be held Friday July 12, 10am, at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary at 3520 E. Washington St. in Colton Ca.
