DR. PAUL E. HORN

PAUL HORN Obituary

DR. PAUL E. HORN went to his Heavenly Father's home on Saturday, December 18, 2010. He was 91 years old. Born in Grinnell, Iowa, March 24, 1919, he moved to California to get an education. He married Elvis B. Devlin in San Jose, California, December 21, 1940. They were married just 3 days short of celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary. He earned his B.A. from San Jose State in 1942, his M. Div. from Berkeley Baptist Divinity School in 1945, and his Ph.D. from California Graduate School of Theology in 1973. He was ordained to ministry in 1945, and served as Pastor in 6 Conservative Baptist Churches. He served the Conservative Baptist Associations in many different positions throughout his over 60 years of ministry. He leaves his beloved wife, Elvis; his daughters, Sandra Baker, Cynthia Dillard,and Eileen Jones,and joins his son, Larry, and son in law, John Baker in heaven. He also leaves 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Dr. Paul, as he liked to be called, was also active in Rotary Club, Yucaipa. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Valley Baptist Fellowship, 12323 5th Street, Yucaipa. Memorial donations may be sent to Valley Baptist Fellowship. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Braswell's Community Convalescent Center for the loving care they provided for our Dad and continue to provide for our Mom.
