Raymond Eugene Royster Sr
May 13, 1929 - November 10, 2012
He was born and raised in Ontario, California, settled in Rancho Cucamonga, California to raise his family.
Ray proudly served in the US Army, then worked for Sunkist before transitioning into a multi-decade career as an agent for Farmer's Insurance. He was a long time member and President of the Ontario-Upland Optimist Club.
He is survived by his children, Mindy, Pam, Donna, Darlene and Ray Jr., 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Ray was a beloved friend, colleague, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, all many times over. He was known for a sense of humor beyond compare, boundless generosity, and a charming charisma. His patience and understanding were unparalleled, almost Ricky Ricardo-esque, as evidenced by his magical marriage of 42 years to his loving wife, Marie, whom he now joins in our Lord's Kingdom.
Ray's internment service will beNovember 20, 2012 at 10:00 amat Riverside National Cemetery:
22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca 92518- Staging Area 1.
Afterwards, friends and family can gather at Mimi's Café in Moreno Valley at about 11:00 am.
Ray will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched. Arrangements entrusted to Lada's Cucamonga Mortuary.
