Rosalie Miller Zittel

Rosalie Miller Zittel 1927-2010 Rosalie Miller Zittel, age 83, passed away of natural causes at her home in Long Beach on November 14, 2010. She was born in Arlington, MA on July 6, 1927 to her loving parents John and Agnes Bartholomew. She and her family moved to Pasadena, CA in 1944 where she completed high school, attended Pasadena City College and attended Sawyer Business School. In addition to being a devoted mother, she spent nearly 20 years in service to the federal government with the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. She was also an artist and entrepreneur, and owned The Fashion Trees for many years in east Long Beach. She is survived by her children, Gerald, Joanne, David and Karl; their spouses Gail, David and Cherrel; and by her four grandchildren, Derek, Michael, Anna and Kyle. In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Harold Groody and Richard Bartholomew, and by many other loving family members. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9 am. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Bartholomew's parish are encouraged.
