ROSLYN MATHENY Obituary

"Roz" was born February 21, 1927, in Brooklyn, NY and passed away on December 4, 2010. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Kevin Fetterman; son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Laura Goldklank; grandchildren, Josh (Raylean) Fetterman, Sean Fetterman, Stephen (Danielle) Goldklank and Daniel Goldklank; and the new love of her life, her great grand child, Noah Osean Fetterman. Also survived by her sister, Maureen (Mel) Vague; brothers, Stuart (Arlene) Schlig and Jerry (Dolores) Schlig; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Roz worked for the Operating Engineers Trust Funds in Pasadena for many years and was a proud member of IUOE Local #12. She never met a bingo game she didn't like and made many bingo friends along the way. She had a great sense of humor and despite her challenges, she laughed a lot. We would like to thank the staff at Westchester Gardens SW for the excellent care they provided to mom these past 2 months and Optimal hospice nurses Jonathan, Leeann and Michael. No services.

When you guys moved into the projects and I met you and Janet, I knew we'd become good friends. You were always so very truthful and never sugar-coated anything! That was a rarity back then. I'm glad that I met you, you were always a fierce woman! Rest in Peace...

Mom-You lived life on your own terms and were a force to be reckoned with. I hope you are with your beloved dad, Harold and listening to Frank Sinatra.

Rozzie, you will be missed beyond words! I used to look forward to getting your emails, which ran the gamut from silly to serious! You always said what was on your mind, so different from my own mom! I thank you for your input when it came to dealing with my own mother. You never minced words, that's for sure. You will be missed...With much love, Morgan
