Steve John Zermeno
54, of San Bernardino, CA passed away on November 11, 2012 after a life long battle with Lupus.
A viewing will be held at Mt. View Mortuary in San Bernardino on Monday, November 19th, from 5pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Mt. View Mortuary in San Bernardino on Tuesday, November 20th, at 10am.
Steve was born in San Bernardino on January 18, 1958. He graduated from Aquinas High School where he played basketball and later went on to coach. He also coached at Fontana High School where he was able to assist in leading the Steelers to a CIF Championship.
Steve was married to Patti Zermeno on September 7th, 1985. They raised two daughters, Kristy Lamb and Valerie Zermeno. Steve truly enjoyed spending time with his wife at the ball park where he watched and coached his girls play softball.
Steve worked as a Supervisor for the San Bernardino County Assessor's office for 35 years. He was an avid sports fan and you could often find him with family in front of a television cheering passionately for their favorite teams. He was a family man and loved spending time with his friends and family. Steve was one of those guys that everyone enjoyed being around, he lived his life to the fullest each and every day.
Steve is survived by his wife-Patti Zermeno, daughters-Kristy Lamb and Valerie Zermeno, parents-Jenny and Sabino Zermeno, brother-Gary Zermeno, grandchildren-Gavin and Bailey Itaya, and Mia and Henry Steven De La Cruz.
