Susan Elizabeth Belben

Susan Elizabeth Belben was born in New York City, Borough of Queens, New York December of 1926. She was the youngest of three children born to John and Susan Kutch. Susan passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 in Paso Robles, California. Susan lived most of her adult life in Southern California, but she relocated to Paso Robles in February 2012 to be near her son Ron. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marshall, her brother Harold and sister Frances. Her son Ron, granddaughter Dana and nieces, Suzanne, Jeneanne, Peggy, Patricia, and many grand nieces and nephews survive her. Susan was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt and she would do anything for her family. She loved all of them with all of her heart; she never missed a birthday, anniversary or holiday card or greeting. Her family love and miss her greatly. Susan worked at the Broadway Department store in Long Beach in the 1960's and she also did a short stint in a public school cafeteria. She enjoyed bingo and especially loved to play scrabble and found little competition with whomever she played with. In other words, she beat almost everyone! Susan endured many physical hardships over the past few years, but somehow she always managed to flash one of her famous smiles and ask how you were doing. She always showed grace and kindness to everyone, she was petite yet strong, powerful yet loving, proud yet caring. She will be missed by all of her family, friends and her caregivers that helped her these last few years. She was extremely grateful for the kindness, thoughtfulness and the tenderness of those who cared for her. Susan's ashes will be scattered off the Southern California coastline, which she loved dearly. A memorial is pending. Please sign the guestbook at www.presstelegram.com/obits.
