"Timmy"- Yesterday, several fire department chief officers and managers reflected with great admiration about your impact to us personally and professionally. You're the gold standard. The scope and scale of your positive impact is remarkable. God bless you, Val and your family.
Remembering, missing, and admiring you often.

I still miss Tim's smile and warmth. He adored his family and took great pride in his work. He loved to laugh and make everyone feel comfortable....never an unkind word about anyone. One day we will all be together with God, but in the meantime, life on this earth will not be the same without Tim.

Hi Ottman family, Tim was a good guy. Sad to hear he is gone. I went to OLP with him and he was a cute guy, good baseball player, all boy. I remember him as a trash monitor. Funny guy, I liked him. We can't understand the ways of God(dess), we should strive to have a life as his. With many folks who miss him and none that can badmouth him. best wishes and my prayers are with you. I am a high school classmate of Tim's. I don't want to speak of Tim in the past because his warm genuine smile and his spirit is still with me and always will be. I will always have a special place in my heart for Tim. Tim and I had a great time in high school and we spent many hours over our 4 years in detention for goofing off. Although I did not play sports with Tim. I had a lot of respect for Tim as an athlete as he was a great football player and baseball player. When Tim was off the field he was a great person and well respected among our classmates. Tim made friends easy and it came natural to him. When I saw Tim at an alumni BBQ in 2007 and learned of his position within LA County Fire, I was so happy for him and I completely understood how he was at the top. I am sorry I could go on for days and tell you how proud I am to have Tim in my life growing up it was a blessing. I was saddened to learn he left us so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ottman Family and may God bring you all strength and love in helping you deal with your loss.

Rest in Peace my good friend. I know you are with us and that is a great feeling.

Sincerely,

Mike McDonough Classmate Crespi High Class of "76"

I was a classmate of Tim's 40 years ago at Our Lady of Peace grammar school. We were good friends then and more recently we linked up again at an event for Sister Immaculata a few years ago. It was great to see Tim again along with his brothers and family. I had a great time talking about old times with him. All of my memories of Tim are fun and positive. I will pray for Tim and his family.

When my mom showed me the article in the Signal, I was stunned and saddened by this news. I grew up with Tim and his family at Our Lady of Peace in Sepulveda. He was always a fun loving young guy and I know he cared about all his friends and family very much. I send the Ottman family my prayers and love that they can move on from this loss and keep living life the way Tim did, so full of fun and smiles. Just believe that you are never alone and he will always be right there in your hearts.Peace Tim.
