Walter Watson Obituary

WATSONWalter Joseph Watson, 89, passed away December 3, 2010 in Monrovia, CA. Walter was born November 25, 1921 in Coal City, IL. He married his wife of 58 years, Betty J. Frazier on Feb. 8, 1941. Walter served with distinction in the US Navy from Dec. 8, 1941 to Oct. 30, 1945. He was one of the 1st volunteers for the Scouts & Rangers and O.S.S., now known as the Navy Seals. Walter worked for Air Logistics Corporation for more than forty years. Walter was predeceased by his wife, Betty J. -1/2Skip-5/8 Watson on Aug. 4, 1999. He is survived by his daughters, Sue (Richard) Mellado and Diane (David) Sweeney; grandchildren, Jeffery (Sara), Anthony (Jacqueline), Jason (Anita) Werbelow, Ryan Sweeney, Ryan's fiancee Stephanie Sain, Mark (Michelle) and Timothy Mellado; and great grandchildren, Madeleine, Lukas, Vincent and Aija Werbelow, Josephine and Isabelle Mellado. A service will be held at Douglass & Zook Chapel of Remembrance, Sat., Dec. 11, 2010 at 11:30 AM.
