Wendy Combs Obituary

Wendy Lou Combs (Barlow) There is a new angel in Heaven. Wendy Lou Combs (Barlow), age 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at 7:20pm on August 25, 2010 after fighting a 4 month battle with liver cancer. She was born June 1, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to June Hall and Kenneth Hall. She graduated from South High in Torrance, CA in 1968 and also graduated from CSULB as a registered nurse. Wendy dedicated 30 years providing for the community of Long Beach at Long Beach Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Regional Hospital facilities, as well as Home Health Care. On June 21, 1997 she married the love of her life, Paul Combs, at their home in Lakewood, CA. She had two sons, Brian Barlow, Brent Barlow, as well as two step daughters, Michelle Combs and Caroline Combs. She was a grandmother to seven children, Ashlie, Aubrie, Bryce, Kristian, Kayla, Kailey and Jeramiah. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. Wendy will be especially remembered for the love of her family and the ability to make every family gathering special. Wendy was an angel on earth as she is in Heaven, her passing has left a hole in our hearts but the memories and lessons learned will live on through those she left behind. Friends and family are celebrating her life with a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 2 pm, located at Mayfair Park, 5050 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, Ca 90712.
