BRIDE, William Francis Jr.

William Francis Bride, Jr., 91, peacefully left this world on September 10, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born March 28, 1921 in San Francisco, CA to William Francis Bride, Sr. and Lucille Lyons. He was the oldest of 7 children. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served with the Seabees in the 72nd Batallion as a machinist mate 3rd class in Guam until 1945. Bill worked as a Journeyman Electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 11 for 70 years. He was happiest when helping others. It was amazing how he could fix almost anything. He loved cars. He was known for his gift of gab. He could talk to anyone and did. He is survived by his children Teresa Canepa (Vince) of Chesapeake, VA, Marjorie Tessean (Rick) of Loveland, CO, John Bride of Covina, CA, Kathleen Slater (Bruce) of Forest Hill, MD, Jeanne Petersen (Jeff) of Draper, Utah, George Bride of El Monte, CA and Terrence Bride (Lucy) of Ogden, Utah: twenty one (21) grandchildren; and nine (9) great grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Gloria Dehmer of Spokane. Wa, Geraldine (Joe) of Upland, CA, Charlotte (David) Rudd of Anacortes, WA and brother James (Jean) of El Monte, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be, Thursday, September 13th from 5:00PM to 8:30PM at the Rose Hills Mortuary, and the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 14th in the Memorial Chapel. The Interment will follow at the Garden of Affection.
