WILLIAM UNGER Obituary

WILLIAM NELSON UNGER Age 86, passed away August 12, 2010. He was raised in Colton, and graduated from CUHS. Bill served as a bomber pilot in Europe during World War II. After his discharge, he settled in La Junta, CO, where he married "Ikey" and had two boys and a girl. This marriage ended after the sad death of their little girl. Bill returned to CA, settled in Lytle Creek, married JoAnn and had a son, Rob. After a second divorce, Bill went to work for the government, serving the U.S. Air Force and Defense Dept. as Fuel Quality Control Supervisor and procurement of defense fuels supply... Soon after, he met and married Addie Ilene Bailey, known by all as "Billye". His career took them to Italy, Thailand and England, where they enjoyed living for many years before retiring to Sun City West, AZ. After many happy years, Billye passed away. Bill shared the last 3 years of his life with wife, Pat, who loved and cared for him and eased his final days. He is survived by wife, Pat Unger; daughter in law, Carol Unger; grandchildren, Joshua and Brooke Unger. Preceding Bill in death were wives, JoAnn Unger, Addie "Billye" Unger, (2005), son, Robert William Unger (2000) and his sisters, Mary Knox and Dorothy Hert Koch.
