William Barvin Obituary

BARVIN-William Richard Barvin (Bill), born in Queens, NY on September 21, 1935 passed away in Pasadena, CA on October 25, 2010. He is survived by his wife Carol of 47 years, 3 children, Randy Barvin, Pam (Bill) Pedersen, and Beckie (Rich) Agnew and 2 loving grand children, Kaitlin and Cody. Bill entered USC at the age of 16, earning his Bachelor's Degree and followed with a Master's degree from UCLA. He was employed by State Farm Insurance for 41 years. Bill had many passions, 1st and foremost his family. Among his favorite activities were coaching, scouting, USC football, and traditional summer vacations in Morro Bay. Viewing will be held at Cabot and Sons, Pasadena (626) 793-7159 October 29 from 5-7 p.m., with a Rosary to follow. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple City, Saturday , October 30 at 9:00 a.m. (626) 291-5900. Burial to follow Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona, CA. (909) 627-3602 The family wishes to thank both Dr. Mark McNamara & his wonderful staff at the South Pasadena Cancer Center and the caring & compassionate staff at the Blood Donor Center at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
