WILLIAM WELLBORN Obituary

Born November 20, 1949, in Atlanta Ga. and passed away November 22, 2010 peacefully at his home in Alta Loma from cancer with his beloved dog and companion, Houston at his bedside. He attended Lake Shore High in Atlanta, Ga. and graduated from Hollywood High School in Hollywood, Fl. After High School he attended University of Florida at Gainesville, Fl. He then entered the United States Naval Reserve serving four years. He then continued his education at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and finished as a Physician's Assistant in the top 5% of his graduating class. He was employed at St. Frances Hospital in Miami, Fl. where he was assistant to a heart surgeon, then moved to Albany, Ga. to work with a physician in private practice. In the early 1980's he took a position at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fontana, Ca. for the Depts of Plastic and General Surgery where he worked until his retirement. His interests aside from medicine were in works of art, investments, body building and gemology. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Nichols of Pembrooke Pines, Fl. and his father, Edward Wellborn of Atlanta, Ga., his brothers Ed and Randy of Atlanta, Ga., and sisters Annette and Christy also of Atlanta, Ga. He also leaves behind uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as a host of dear friends and associates. Graveside services and interment, December 3, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga.

Mr.Wellborn,
I will never forget you and how kind you were to me. You were a very special person to me with a heart of gold most of all I'm going to really miss the advise you would give me during my trying times thank you so much for everything You are the Ray of Light that makes the Sunshine.
