Janice Naomi Morlock Pelatowski, was a resident of The Regency Fair Oaks, Pasadena. Her husband Robert Pelatowski, MD, preceded her in death.

Jan was born in Posey County, IN on 9/28/24. She entered the US Nursing Corps in 1943 and then joined the military. She was stationed Japan in the through the 1940's. She later obtained her BA degree from UC Riverside.
She moved to California and began working as a Psychiatric Nurse for the State Mental Health System, where she met her husband who was a Staff Psychiatrist; they married in 1956. They lived in Claremont and later San Marino. Jan's second career was as a Social Worker for LA County Social Services Department Child Protective Services.
Jan was also preceded in death by her parents Fred and Macil Morlock and 3 brothers. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ruth, her brother Jack's wife and their children Stephen and Bruce; as well as Stephen's daughters Melissa and Angela; and Bruce's daughter Shelly.
Other survivors include nephew Eric, son of Jan's deceased brother Brian; niece Jeanne Carr, and nephews Jeffrey and David Morlock, children of Jan's deceased brother Eugene.
On the Pelatowski side of the family she is survived by her nephew, Richard Schupbach and his wife Viviane, their son Michael and daughter Morgan, her husband Daniel Guzman and their son great-grandnephew Henry.
A Celebration of her Life is planned at her home, The Fair Oaks Regency in Pasadena, 951 S. Fair Oaks. From 2:00-4:00. Friends and neighbors are welcome to join Jan's family for light refreshments.
