Marjorie "Marge" Porter Jordan of Mentone passed away on June 30, 2013 in Redlands, California. Marjorie was born on September 26, 1930 in McAllister, Oklahoma and moved to California with her family when she was a little girl. Marjorie married her best friend, Chester, in 1950, after meeting him at her first job as a movie theater usher in Banning, CA. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband , Chester, and their four children, Tim Jordan, Susan Jordan Cole, Tobie Jordan Duarte, and Randy Jordan and their spouses Karen Jordan, Chuck Cole, Danny Duarte and Donna Jordan. Marjorie is also survived by brothers Jim Porter of Napa, California and Mike Porter of Lincoln, California. She will be sorely missed by her 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. Marjorie worked for years at the Los Angeles County Library in Baldwin Park and made many friends there and at the church she attended for 30 years with her family, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a long-time resident of Carriage Isles Senior Mobile Home Park in Mentone, California, and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Redlands for 23 years. A rosary /visitation service will be held on July 10, 2013 from 5-7 pm at the Green Acres Memorial Park, 11715 Cedar Ave., Bloomington CA with a funeral and graveside service to be held on July 11, 2013 at 9:00 am at the same location.
