Miller, Lester P.
Lester P. Miller, age 73 of Random Lake, WI.
Passed away unexpectedly early Friday Afternoon (Dec. 28,2012) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
He was born on July 18, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Anthony and Anna Kraus Miller.
Lester graduated from Random Lake High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting from Lakeland College. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1962 and also served in the Army National Guard.
On August 31, 1963 he married Nancy Friend at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Random Lake.
Lester worked for Risse Implement in Silver Creek, Simplicity Company in Port Washington for several years and owned/operated in partnership the West Bend Implement for many years. He retired in 2004 from Times Printing in Random Lake.
On March 9, 1994 he married Louise Anderson in Las Vegas, NV. The couple has resided in Random Lake since their marriage.
Lester was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake. Lester was very civic minded and served on the Town Board for the Town of Sherman for over 25 years holding most of the offices and also sat on the Random Lake School Board for many years, serving many offices. He was a member of the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department for 53 years.
He belonged to the Random Lake Lions Club for over 40 years where he held various positions. He also played accordion in the Raphael Demler Orchestra for over ten years.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, woodworking, going to flea markets and auctions, playing the accordion and watching his son and daughter race at the Plymouth Race Track. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: His wife: Louise of Random Lake
Three Children: Malinda Sveom of Random Lake, Melissa (Don) Singer of Waldo and Anthony Miller of Random Lake. Grandchildren: Austin, Ashley, Cassie, Dylan, Kimberly, Valerie, Donny, Justin, and Seth, Great Grandchild: Camden, Four Step Children, 12 Step Grandchildren and 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
Two Sisters: Elaine (Albert) Oskey of Random Lake and Shirley (Delmar) Liebe of Plymouth. Also survived by nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-laws, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson: Dominick Singer and One Brother: Melvin (Ruth) Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Evening (Jan. 3) at 8:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Andy Shanholtz will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Random Lake.
Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00 P.M. on Thursday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Lester's name. The Plymouth VFW World cheese Center Post # 5612 will conduct military rites at the Funeral Home following the services.
