Grusznski, Clarence A.
Clarence A. (Barney or Fuzzy) Grusznski, age 78, of Mountain, WI was called home to his eternal peace on March 18, 2013, after a two plus week stay at the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. He was also known by many as Barney or Fuzzy. He was born in the town of Glenmore on July 3, 1934, to Stanley and Edna (Terrien) Grusznski. On January 23, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Ducat. For a short time he worked at Brillion Iron Works and then Larson Canning in Green Bay. Then, he moved his family to Sheboygan Falls to begin work at the Kohler Company and later settled in the Howards Grove area. He retired from Kohler after 38 years in the Pottery Dept. and moved to their property in the rural Mountain area where they had built their current home.
He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting, gardening and just watching the wildlife. Many will miss his home-made maple syrup, sour kraut, and his famous wine. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Cribbage and Sheepshead. He treasured time with his family and close friends. He especially cherished the annual family fishing vacation to the Chippewa Flowage. Being a jack of all trades, he was often called on to be a carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic or a mason. If you didn't know how to do something or how to fix it, all you had to do was ask him, he'd dream about it for a night and he would have it figured out by morning.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; children Gary of Sheboygan, Dennis (Kim Hogue) of Sheboygan, Sharon (Jim) Summers of Trempealeau, Jennifer (Bob) Maurer of Kiel. He is also survived by grandchildren Craig (Val Franzen) Huebschmann, Kyle (Laura) Grusznski, Zach Grusznski, Kaila Kissinger, Jacob Summers and great grandchildren Corbin Huebschmann, Renee and Caleb Grusznski. He is survived by his siblings Agnes Benz, Alfred (Rita) Grusznski, Raymond (Elsie) Grusznski, Arlene (Leo) Heim, Evelyn (Francis Cavanaugh) Stetson, Kathleen Dworak, Mary (Jerome) Watzka, Patrick (Marie) Grusznski.
He was preceded in death by his son, Allen; daughter, Karen Huebschmann-Baynes; brother, Robert Grusznski; daughter-in-law, Renee Grusznski.
Friends may call at the St. Mary's of the Lakes Church in Lakewood, WI on Monday, March 25, 2013, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time there will be a Mass of Christian burial officiated by Father Jason Blahnik. There will be a short entombment service at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens in Bay Settlement on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 11:00 AM.
A memorial fund will be established in Clarence's name for the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Green Bay Oncology (Green Bay and Oconto Falls), especially Dr. Volk and Holly Spletzer, and also the wonderful staff at the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice Center for the loving care they gave Clarence.
