David A. Mueller, Age 72, of Plymouth, passed away late Friday Evening (Dec. 7) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan of an apparent aneurism.
Dave was born on February 24, 1940 in Fillmore, WI, a son of the late Arthur and LaVern Hartmann Mueller.
He graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1959 and continued his education by attending the Sheboygan Teachers College, graduating in 1961. He earned his Bachelor and Master's Degree in education from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh.
On June 16, 1978 he married Sharon Brown at St. Peter's Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. The couple has resided in Plymouth area since 1985. They also resided in Surprise, AZ, from 2003 until returning to Plymouth in May of this year.
He was a teacher for 38 years, teaching in Racine County, Ozaukee School District and retired from the Random Lake Elementary and Middle School in 1999 after over 30+ years of service.
Dave is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth and sang in the church folk choir for many years. He is a member of the Sheboygan County Area Retired Teachers Association, (SCARTA).
Dave had a love of life, was instantly likable, and had many friends. He enjoyed playing golf, cards and games. He was a terrific dancer. He played piano, organ and accordion. Dave had the ability to read music, but he played mostly by ear. If you could sing it, he could play it.
Dave's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Gretta and Jack. This was evident from the holes in the knees of his jeans. When the grandchildren were around him, he lived on the floor. He was the best Papa in the world.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 34 years: Sharon of Plymouth, Two Children: John (Mary) Mueller of Plymouth and Katie Mueller of Madison. His two precious grandchildren: Gretta and Jack Mueller. Three Sisters: Gloria Ney of West Bend, Kathleen Roesel of Campbellsport and Sharon (Joe) Cheesebro of Mayville; One Brother- in-law: Dr. Thomas Brown (His wife: Elaine) of Spanaway, WA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Russell and Harriet Brown, three brother-in-laws: Wayne Roesel, Norbert Ney and Daniel Brown.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday Evening (Dec. 12) at 6:00 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, Pastor of the church will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may call at the CHURCH on Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 12) from 3:00 P.M.until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dave's name.
