Hammen, Diane F.
Diane F. Hammen, age 72, of Adell, WI, passed away late Saturday afternoon (Feb. 9) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 3, 1940 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late Eli and Olive Gruber Bintzler.
She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1958.
On November 7, 1959 she married Merlin W. Hammen at St. Patrick's Church in Adell. The couple has resided in Adell since their marriage, being lifelong residents.
She worked at Regal Ware in Kewaskum for several years and at Greg's Tap for over 35 years.
She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul in Plymouth for 12 years and was the founding president of the Adell Yeti's Snowmobile Club.
She was an avid hunter for many years and also enjoyed fishing/ice fishing, card playing, spending time at her cottage in the Northwoods, socializing with friends and family and befriending the wildlife critters, especially Chippie.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years: Merlin of Adell; Four Children: John (Mandy) Hammen of Beaver Dam, Randy (Deborah) Hammen of Town of Mitchell, Debbie (Jack) Pierce of Plymouth and Tom (Mandy) Hammen of Random Lake; Nine Grandchildren: Derek, Drew, Johnny, Preston, Nicole, Andrew, Jeremy, Kaitlyn and Jay; Two Sisters: Delores (Merlin) Miller of Greenbush and Lilly (Lee) Kappel of Adell; Two Sister-In-Laws: Mame Bintzler of Town of Plymouth and Doris Stolper of Cedar Grove.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Lloyd "Heine" Bintzler and two sisters: Margret "Peggy" (Leroy) Schroeder and Lorraine (Norbert) Gonwa.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday evening (Fed. 20) at 7:00 P.M. at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
Friends can call at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Diane's name.
