Dolores M. Harvey, age 83, formerly of 435 Smith Street Plymouth, WI passed away early Monday Morning (Nov. 12) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where she had been a resident for the past 10 years.
Dolores was born on July 15th, 1929 in Stratford, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Carl and Marie Mahnke Radtke.
She had resided in Stanley, Manawa, New London, Neenah and Montello before moving to Plymouth with her family in 1942.
She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1947.
She worked for the Wisconsin Cheese Producers and Hoffman Hardware.
On June 11th, 1949, she married Raymond E. Harvey at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage.
Her Husband preceded her in death on October 21, 1996.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Thursday Afternoon Ladies Bible Class for many years. She was Secretary/Treasurer of St. John Lutheran Sunday School and also chapel Money Recorder for 25 years for the Lutheran Day School.
She was a member of the V.F.W
. World Cheese Center Post # 5612 Auxiliary and also a member of the Plymouth Chapter of AARP.
She delivered Meals on Wheels from 1988 through 2000 and also Country Meals for 1 1/2 years.
Survivors include: Three daughters: LaVonne (Rev. William) Metzger of Cary, IL, Phyllis Harvey of Jacksonville, Florida and Donna (John) Nygaard of Plymouth; One son: Kevin (Kelly) Harvey of Campbellsport; Five grandchildren: Brian (Ann) Nygaard of Sheboygan, Melissa Metzger of Cary, IL, Meghan (John) Lozano of Boerne, TX, Zachary Harvey of Campbellsport and Jared Engel of Campbellsport; Five great grandchildren: Jordyn, Emily and Timothy Nygaard, Justin and Veronica Lozano; Three sisters-in-law: Marilyn Radtke of Milwaukee, Eleanor Steuerwald of Plymouth and Florence Harvey of Glenbeulah
Also survived by Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Ronald, Earl and Carl Radtke; five brothers-in-law, Alton, Elroy and William Harvey, Norman Pitchke (Delores) and Wesley Steuerwald.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday (Nov. 17) at 12:00 Noon at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Thomas Burton, pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the CHURCH from 11:00 A.M. on Saturday until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dolores' name.
