Seurer, Elaine A. (Nussbaumer)
Elaine A. (Nussbaumer) Seurer, age 92 of Plymouth, WI, passed away late Friday afternoon (July 18, 2014) at Libby's House in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the last 4 years.
She was born on February 2, 1922 in the Town of Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late Dewey and Clara Reische Heinemann. Elaine attended Sheboygan area schools.
In May of 1944, she married Eathon Nussbaumer. The couple resided in Plymouth after their marriage. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1987.
On May 12, 1995 she married Stanley Seurer in Plymouth, WI.
Elaine was employed at the Plymouth Utilities as a clerical clerk for many years before retiring.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth and was a past member of the Willing Workers, the Women's Chorus in the church and the Plymouth VFW
World Cheese Center Post #5612 Women's Auxiliary.
Elaine was a member of the Plymouth Women's Club and was an avid bowler and belonged to numerous leagues in the county and also enjoyed golfing being a member of the golf leagues at Crystal Lake and the Tuesday Ladies League at Quit Qui Oc in Elkhart Lake.
Survivors include her husband: Stanley Seurer of Elkhart Lake; one daughter: Sandra (Jim) Karpinsky of Port Washington; three grandchildren: Sarah (Kevin) Richardson of Elmhurst, IL, Michael (Jacqueline) Karpinsky of Appleton and Jill (Tyler) Horton of Oshkosh; six great grandchildren: Braden, Brice, Anna, Brynn, Theo and Cameron; one step-daughter: Kay (Peter) Heidenreiter of Hingham and one step granddaughter: Kelly Ann Donohue of Hingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eathon; one infant son: Alan; one brother: Roger (Delores) Heinemann and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday evening (July 22) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, pastor of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth will officiate. Burial will be in the Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Elaine's name.
