Eleanore M. Buchholz

Mrs. Eleanore Buchholz of Random Lake, formerly of Six Mile Road in the Town of Belgium, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 5, 2012, at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living facility in Plymouth where she had resided for the last six weeks. She was 96 years old. Eleanore was born on the family farm in the Town of Holland on April 7, 1916, daughter of Edwin and Catherine Thomas Mueller. She was united in marriage with Alfred Buchholz on June 18, 1938 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. The couple settled on a farm on Six Mile Road and raised their family. Alfred preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Buchholz was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, currently Divine Savior Parish, as well as a member of the Christian Mothers and a 50+ year member of Catholic Knights. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers for use by the church Altar Guild, crocheting and cooking. Eleanore is survived by her two daughters, Pat Watry of Random Lake and Geri Jacoby of Fredonia, 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 step-greatgrandchildren. She is further survived by 1 brother Leroy Mueller of Cascade and 1 sister Vernette Tackes of Port Washington, sister-in-law Delores Mueller of Cedar Grove, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, son Bill, sons-in-law Fanny Watry and Rollie Jacoby, brother Sylvester Mueller, sisters Marcella Krick, Alverna Lanser and Bernice Ronk, and an infant granddaughter. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7PM on Sunday, December 9th at Divine Savior Parish, Holy Cross Chapel. Father Jim Ernster will officiate. She will be buried the next day beside her husband in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the CHURCH on Sunday from 5-7PM.
