Crabb, Jerome P. "Jerry"
Jerome P. Crabb (Jerry), age 72, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in Two Rivers on October 12, 1940, a son of the late Walter B. and Viola (Sturm) Crabb.
Jerry attended Saint Luke Grade School and Washington High school in Two Rivers. On June 6, 1959 he married Judith Liebert at Saint Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers, Wl. On May 28, 1988 he married Nancy Wiegert in Sheboygan, WI.
Jerry enlisted in the US Army
in May of 1958, and furthered his education in the US Army, and got his Diploma. Other schooling was in the Army Transportation Corp & Truck Driver, Tank Operator, Signal Corp, Radio and Carrier Operator and Received a Service Citation.
He served in the Cold War Era, and was stationed in Berlin Germany until his Honorable Discharge in April 1963, as E-4 Corporal. Jerry was a life member of the VFW
Memorial Post 9156. Served on the Board of Directors and was Vice President. Jerry was Junior Vice President and went on to be Post Commander for three consecutive years, and made all State Post for three consecutive years with the members help. He was Post Trustee for three years and a member of the united military association, and served as Chaplain. Jerry was Top recruiter for three consecutive years for bringing in the most new members. He received many medals while serving his country.
Jerry was a Journey-man Plumbers helper for several years, a Semi Driver for Badger Freight-ways for 14 years and was a maintenance repairman for Sheboygan Housing Authority for 11 1/2 years. He took a early Retirement in Oct. 1998. Jerry also was a part-time Special Activities Helper, and driver for Sheboygan DVR and a part-time driver for Lakeland Auto, Sheboygan. Jerry was a very good handyman, and went out of his way to help people. He was a member of Fountain Park Church serving on the board of directors and as an usher. Jerry and Nancy just loved dancing. They belonged to I Love to Dance Club, enjoyed traveling, long walks and playing cards.
Survivors include his loving wife Nancy; two daughters Kay Gordon of Manitowoc, Brenda (Gerry) Steinbeck of Sheboygan; two sons Corey Crabb of Sheboygan, Dale (special friend Robin) Crabb of Sheboygan; stepdaughter Lori (Roy) Dekker of Sheboygan; stepson Terry (Debra) Wiegert of Sheboygan; four grandchildren Leslie Mueller, Justin (Marissa) Crabb, Alyssa Crabb, Alexis Joy; four step-grandchildren Jeremy (Amy) Dekker, Justin Dekker, Alex (Liza) Najimi, Kevin Najimi; great-grandson Connor; three step-great grandchildren Treston, Austin and Rylan; brothers and sisters Pat (Jersey) Stevens, Darlene (Joe) Pluth, Ronnie (Nancy) Crabb, Jon (Carolee) Crabb, Glenn Crabb, and Laura (Jack) Sroka. Jerry is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Judy and an infant daughter Christine Marie.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3:00P.M. at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan with Rev. Warren Waddell, officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name.

Jerry's family wishes to extends a special thank you to Dr. Bettag and his nurse practitioner Cory, Dr. Stillwell, Dr. Detrana and his nurse practitioner Brenda, fifth floor staff at St. Nicholas Hospital, St. Nicholas Hospice, Morningside Nursing Home and many close family and friends for all their compassion and care.
Jerry was a true fighter and will be missed, and always loved by all who knew him.
