June L. Erickson, 77, of Howards Grove, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at home after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. June was born June 30, 1935 in Sheboygan to the late Herman and Mildred (Rumpff) Eisenhardt. She graduated from Plymouth High School before attending the Marvel Accredited Beauty School in Milwaukee. On July 23, 1988, she married Alton Erickson at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. June was employed by Bitter Neumann in Howards Grove as deli manager. She enjoyed camping, bowling, researching her ancestry and tending to her flower garden. June was an 18 year survivor of lung cancer.
In addition to her husband, Alton, she is survived by her three children, Cynthia (Larry) Meyer, Sheboygan Falls, Ernst "Ernie" (Connie) Wuestenhagen, Sheboygan Falls and Dale (Jean) Wuestenhagen, Howards Grove; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Mark) Bimmel, Sheboygan Falls, Christopher (Lisa) Schmidt, Sheboygan Falls, Joseph Wuestenhagen, Madison and Nicole Wuestenhagen, Madison; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Matthew Bimmel and Liam Schmidt; her children's father, Gordon Wuestenhagen; four step-children, Sharon (Tom) Grasse, Jennifer (Steve) Weissgerber, Jeanne Erickson (Special friend, Marie Grapentine) and Mark (Collette) Erickson; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Merlin Eisenhardt, Sheboygan, Darrel (Colleen) Eisenhardt, Burlington, Randall (Sue) Eisenhardt, Kiel and one sister-in-law, Loretta Eisenhardt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Jon Wuestenhagen, one brother, Robert Eisenhardt, one son-in-law, Steven B. Schmidt, one sister-in-law, Addie Eisenhardt and one step-son, Alton "Butch" Erickson, Jr.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (441 Millersville Avenue, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Tom Unke officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the church, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery.
