Manuel Antonio Sanchez Gomez

Manuel Antonio Sanchez Gomez, 85, of Sheboygan Falls passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at Pine Haven Christian Home.

Manuel was born August 18, 1928 in Bogota, Colombia to Manuel Antonio Sanchez and Rosa Maria Gomez.

At an early age Manny became responsible for taking care of his family after the death of his father. Around the age of 21, he traveled to the United States where he met and married Ellen Mae Gosse. Together they settled in Oostburg and raised their family.

He worked at Kohler General for years and retired in 1990. During his retirement he was involved in the Shriners and visited many countries with People to People. Manuel enjoyed traveling and going to Colombia to visit family.

Manny is survived by his children, Manuel A. "Tony" Sanchez Jr. of Oostburg, Elizabeth (Gary) Kelling of Sheboygan Falls, Rose Woveras of Sheboygan, Ida (Bill) Dickfoss of Sheboygan, Blanca "Stella" Sanchez, Martha Sanchez and Alberto Sanchez all of Bogota; a brother, Luis Enrique Sanchez of Bogota; a sister, Olga Maria Enciso of Bogota; two grandchildren in Sheboygan Falls, Adam and Jamie Kelling; other grandchildren in Bogota; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with Manuel's wishes, no services will be held.

The family of Manny would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Home and Sharon Richardson Community Hospice for the compassion and care shown to him.
