Bosma, Richard "Dick" M.
Richard "Dick" M. Bosma, age 67, of New Holstein died Monday, November 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born November 14, 1944 to the late Melvin & Nadine (Hoehl) Bosma. He attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1963. Dick also attended UW Oshkosh and Moraine Park Technical Institute.
On October 19, 1968 he married Sue Feldner at St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
Dick worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for over 35 years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Dick served as a volunteer fireman
for New Holstein Fire Department for 17 years, as a former City Alderman, Premier Credit Union/La-Tec Credit Union board member, and a former New Holstein Chamber of Commerce board member. He belonged to the Wednesday evening golf league, was a scout leader for many years, an avid Packer & Badger fan, and enjoyed collecting a variety of coins. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sue of New Holstein; three children, Amy Bosma of New Holstein, Angie (Bob) Gehred of Whitefish Bay, and Brad (Krista) Bosma of Wrightstown; five grandchildren, Max & Charlotte Gehred, Carter, Greyson, and Amelia Bosma; two brothers, David (Pat) Bosma of "Brothertown" Chilton and Robert (Kathy) Bosma of New Holstein; his three-sisters-In-law, Mary (Dale) Bink of St. Cloud, Beverly Feldner of St. Cloud, and Donna Feldner of Chilton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, many cousins and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his father & mother In-law Emil "Happy" & Arlene Feldner, and a brother-In-law Joseph Feldner.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Parish Director, Joe Zenk assisting. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein.
Family & friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. in New Holstein on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 2-5:30 PM followed by brief family rites.
A Memorial Fund will be established in his name for the New Holstein Boy Scouts.
