Rita Bradley, 71, died Wednesday evening September 4, 2013 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She was born to Gervase and Mary (Coughlin) Bradley on February 2, 1942 in Circleville, Ohio. Rita began her schooling in Good Hope, IL and finished in Tigerton, WI, graduating in 1961. As a young adult she went to college at Stout State College in Menomonie, WI for a year and half before moving to southern California and working first as a bookkeeper for John Hancock Insurance and for many years as legal secretary for Clearings Transport in Los Angeles. In 1984 she returned to Wisconsin to live in St. Anna where she took care of her father and taught CCD at St. Anna Catholic Church. In 1990 she moved to Sheboygan, WI and worked for Feldman Engineering, Citzens Bank, Wells Fargo and since 1995 for Fresh Brands. She greatly appreciated the relationships with her co-workers in the accounting department, and retired from there in February of 2012. Rita was a member at St. Dominic Parish for the last two decades. She volunteered as instructor for RCIA, and supported many other parish activities. In the last few years she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her favorite college sports teams.
Survivors include her sister, Ruth Walsdorf, of New Holstein, WI brothers, Owen (Lorraine)Bradley, Madison, WI and Neil (Cris Correia) Avondale, GA, her sister-in-law, Allyn Bradley of Fairfield Glade, TN, brother-in-law, Gene (Sue) Foster, Quincy IL. She loved her many nieces and nephews including Mary Jo Walsdorf, Michael (Cheryl) Walsdorf, Patti and Debbie Walsdorf, Joan Foster (Susie Virgilio), Lori (Mike) Ray, Jennifer (Joe) Vent, Leah Bradley, Christopher (Jamie) Bradley, Garett (Peggy) Bradley and Megan Bradley, Erin Bradley-Haven (Mark) and Hugh Bradley along with many great and great-great, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her older siblings Ann Foster, Gene and Hugh Bradley, brother-in-law, Dr. Jim Walsdorf, and a nephew Robert Walsdorf.
The funeral Mass for Rita will be celebrated at 12:30 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at St. Dominic Parish, 2133 N 22nd St., Sheboygan, WI with Fr. Phil Reifenberg officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, St. Anna, Wisconsin.
Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of Flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
