In December 1970, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where Roger was employed as a telephone installer and repairman. During this time he worked on his diploma in Computer Science and Accounting from South West Computer College in Albuquerque, NM.
For the next 1 ½ years the couple traveled through Europe and went back to New Zealand where Roger was employed as a Computer Programmer Analyst for the NZ Government.
In 1974 the family farm in the Town of Meeme beckoned and Roger and Sonia returned to his roots. Their son, Ian, was born in 1975.
Roger began employment at Citizen's Bank of Sheboygan as a computer programmer/analyst. Later he worked at Hayssen Mfg as a computer programmer/analyst before beginning employment at LTC helping students in a computer support position, retiring in 2002.
