Susan Sherman, 64, De Pere, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away surrounded by her loving family Monday evening, June 24, 2013. She was born May 15, 1949, in Milwaukee to John and LaVerne (Pukenis) Rolbiecki. The family later moved to New Holstein. On November 2, 1991, she married Edwin P. Sherman.
Then known as Sue Halvorsen, she was a Teachers' Aid in the Sheboygan School District and later became an award winning agent for Physicians Mutual for over 20 years. She and her husband then started their own agency, Sherman Insurance Services, in 2000.
She treasured the times she spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Sue was an expert at refinishing furniture, an avid crafter and gardener. She also enjoyed watching her husband play in local bands and the good friends she made there.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Sherman, De Pere; two sons, Noel "Cully" Halvorsen and Jeremy Halvorsen, both of Green Bay; her mother, LaVerne Rolbiecki, New Holstein; a step-daughter, Kristen Vickers; six grandchildren, Garth, Casey, Riker, Odin, Josie and Alec; six sisters, one brother and their spouses, Cheryl Zaborsky, Nanci and David Nichols, Jack and Cindy Rolbiecki, Jill and Scott Rady, Wendy Rolbiecki, Mary and Steve Bowser, Kristi Rolbiecki and Christi Skrinska; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Gail Sherman, Pat and Ron Diamond, Mike Sherman and Meg Bussey, Peggy and John Chapman, Terry Sherman and Charles Egleston, Chris and Kathie Sherman; nieces and nephews and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Rolbiecki; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Marie Sherman; and a sister-in-law, Mary Sherman.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Green Bay. There will be a Celebration of Her Life including a Sharing of Memories at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. To send on-line condolences, visit www.prokowall.com
