Wilma Back, 86, of Sheboygan Falls, died on Sunday May 4, 2014 at Pine Haven Christian Home.
Wilma was born on September 29, 1927 in Sheboygan, a daughter of Harry and Jennie (Clarisse) Otte. She attended the Sheboygan Christian Grade School until the 8th grade. She married Milton Back on June 15, 1949. She was a devoted wife and mother and helped Milton on the farm for many years. He preceded her in death on September 2, 1969. Later in life she worked at Greendale Nursing Home and also at Morningside Nursing Home in Sheboygan.
Wilma was a member of Gibbsville Reformed Church for her married life and most recently was a member of First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls. Wilma adored her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, baking, listening to country music and visiting with family and friends. She was a very sweet and compassionate person who would do anything for anyone.
Wilma is survived by one daughter, Marjorie (Tim) Pittner of Sheboygan; one son, Michael (Anna) Back of Sheboygan Falls; 6 grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Pittner, Luke Pittner, Jessi Pittner, Matt (Stephanie) Back, Amanda (Ben) Kuehmichel, and Alicia (Jared) Mueller; 5 great-grandchildren, Joe, Tate, Rylan, Aleah and Eliana. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Milton, 1 daughter, Karen, 3 sisters, Cornelia Dekker, Jeanette Vogt and Elsie VanHaveren; and 1 brother, William Otte.
A funeral service to celebrate Wilma's life will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 10am at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls with Rev. Brad Veenendaal officiating. Burial will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the town of Wilson.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Wilma's name.
