Weimann, Carol A.

Carol A. Weimann, age 72, of Dunbar, WI, formerly of Sheboygan, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 5, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born June 13, 1940 in Sheboygan to Elmer and Darline (Weatherhead) Madson. She attended Holy Name and St. Clement Catholic Grade Schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1958.

On February 22, 1958, Carol and Carl "Cal" Weimann were united in marriage.

Carol was employed as a CNA at Morningside Nursing Home and later at the Sheboygan Retirement Home, retiring in 1996. After retirement, Carol and Cal moved to Dunbar, WI.

Carol was a faithful, active, member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Pembine, WI where she was a member of WELCA, the Altar Guild, and Creative Spirits. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #461 in Pembine.

An avid sports fan, she loved watching the Green Bay Packers as well as NASCAR and golf. She was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, crocheting, and sewing. Everyone in her family received one of her home-made quillows. Carol also enjoyed listening to the southern gospel group, The Gaithers,

In addition to her loving husband of fifty-four years, Cal, she is survived by her children, Tammi (Darcy) Hansmann-Kluth, Carla (Todd) Klabechek, Lori (fiancé, Dan Tracy) Weimann, Tim (Patti) Weimann, and Tom (Tracy) Weimann; her grandchildren, Brad (Shannon) Hansmann, Matthew (Hannah) Hansmann, Mandi (fiancé, Michael Clark) Okcugil, Trevor and Tayler Klabechek, Ashley and Israel Deutsch, Michael Koenig, Rachael Fedeler, Tristan and Morgan Weimann, Karlee and Autumn Weimann; eight-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Maria Wensauer, Robert (Nancy) Weimann, Wally (Terry) Weimann, Ralph Eirich, Joann (Earl) Jacobs, Ken Weimann, Don (June) Weimann, and John (friend, Sue) Weimann.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gottlieb and Amalia Weimann; her sisters-in-laws, Lilly Voss, Wilma Fieck, Doria Eirich, Helen Panzer, and Leona Weimann; her brothers-in-law, Walter Voss, Robert Fieck, Lyle Wensauer, and Eugene Panzer; and her son-in-law, Daniel Hansmann.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Ballhorn Chapels with visitation beginning at 1:00 until the time of service. Rev. Gene Wickman, Pastor of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Pembine, WI will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name for Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in Pembine, WI.

The family wishes to thank Dr. David King and staff of Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee; Dr. Gustavo Morel and wife, Dr. Michelle Morel and staff of Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI, the staff at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, Dr. Kumar and staff at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan and the staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls for their excellent care and support of Carol.
