Charlotte Faye Specht Jensema Grider, age 52, of Plymouth passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 26th as a result of a motorcycle accident near Ellison Bay, WI.
She was born on June 12, 1960 in Plymouth, WI, a daughter of the late Elmer and Irene (Henry) Specht.
Charlotte attended Plymouth Grade Schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1978.
On May12, 1984 she married Ricky Lee Jensema. The couple lived in Plymouth since their marriage. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2004.
Besides her family, Char's joy was the organization she founded to minister to the families of children with cancer, Project Angel Hugs.
On February 19, 2011 she married Kevin Grider in Plymouth. The couple resided in Plymouth since their marriage.
Charlotte was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. She enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles, shopping, riding motorcycles, yellow ribbons and spending time with her children.
Survivors include: Her husband: Kevin of Plymouth, Her children: Jessica Laura Jensema and Trevor Lee Jensema, both of Plymouth, Two sisters: Charmaine Pachniak of Sheboygan and Charlene (Don) Drumm of Milwaukee. Brother and sisters-in-law: Larry (Darlene) Maner of Sheboygan Falls, Ron (Mary) Lyn Maner of Tennessee, Roger (Martha) Jensema of Gibbsville, Lowell (Jennifer) Jensema of Gibbsville.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Char was preceded in death by her daughter: Vanessa Irene Jensema, her first husband: Ricky Lee Jensema, her parents: Irene and Elmer Specht.
Memorial services to celebrate Char's life will be held on Monday Evening, Sept. 3rd, at 4:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, senior pastor of the church will officiate. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services. Cremation has taken place.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Charlotte's name for Project Angel Hugs.
