Earl W. Betzhold, 83 of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., formerly of Grafton and Arbor Vitae, passed away on May 1st at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, after a nearly 20 year battle with cancer. Earl was born on September 18, 1929, to Art and Anita Betzhold.

On Jan 16, 1954, he married his childhood sweetheart Patsy Fransee. She preceded him in death in 1998.

On April 29, 2000, he married Barbara Knudsen.

Earl served his country in the Army from 1951-1953. He served with the 884th Eng. Avn. Maint. Co.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Knudsen) of Sheboygan Falls; son, Bill (Lump) of Hay River NWT; daughter, Bonnie Albrecht (partner, Tom Jordan) of West Bend; daughter, Terry Binns of Saukville; and son Brian (Gail) of Grafton; grandchildren, Justin Carris of Saukville; Nathan Betzhold of Canada; Cody Binns (fiancee, Claire Broadwell) of Elm Grove; Emily Massingale and Josh Albrecht of West Bend; great- granddaughter, Courtney Carris of Saukville. Further survived by stepchildren Bob (Renee) Serre and Lance(Melissa) Horozewski of Janesville; step-grandchildren, Logan Serre, Nathan Korevaar and Anna Horozewski. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, Gene Fransee of Saukville; and Bernie Gotthardt of Whitefish Bay; and many nieces and nephews.

Earl owned and operated Ozaukee Welding and Sheet Metal and was the 1st employee at Construction Forms now located in Port Washington. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He and Barb traveled to Hawaii twice, many trips to Florida and a Carribbean Cruise.

A memorial service will be held at Mueller Funeral Home 979 N. Green Bay Rd. in Grafton on Friday, May 17, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 3:00. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetary in Grafton.
