Elizabeth "Libby" Tresp, 106, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Libby's House in Plymouth. Libby was born November 13, 1906 in Newton, Illinois to the late Louis and Josephine (Shakman) Faller. She graduated from St. John's School of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois. Libby moved to Sheboygan in 1929 and worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in the maternity ward from 1929 until 1934. On August 11, 1934, she married Ewald Tresp in Newton, Illinois. He preceded her in death in June of 1990. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Charity Club and very active at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Mary Lu (William) Leibham, Sheboygan, Barbara (John) Taylor, Olympia, WA, Phyllis (David) Orth, Manitowoc, and Janice Tresp, Sheffield, MA; her grandchildren, Tina (David) Thill, Elkhart Lake, Tori (Ken) Bragee, Hixton, Timothy (Tammy) Leibham, Eau Claire, Jenna (Brian) Beck, Melbourne, FL, Crispin (Mary) Tresp, Great Barrington, MA, Casey (Ashley) Tresp, Cheshire, CT, Joseph Orth, Madison, Leah (Wayne) O'Barski, Manitowoc, Scott Taylor, San Francisco, CA, Laura Taylor, Olympia, WA, Joshua Taylor, Olympia, WA and Jason Taylor, New York, NY; 21 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Dennis Tresp, four grandchildren, Tanja Fehrenbach, Erin Tresp, Tony Orth and Kathrine O'Barski, two brothers, William Faller and Florent Faller and one sister Louise Altenbach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (807 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Dennis Van Beek officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to Libby's House in Libby's name.
The family would like to extend our everlasting gratitude to every single employee at Libby's House and to Grace Hospice for their kindness and caring of Libby. Also to Fr. Dennis Van Beek for his weekly visits to our mom.
