Emilie M. Mahloch

Emilie M. Mahloch, 72, of W5543 Garton Road, Plymouth, (Town of Rhine) died Wednesday afternoon, January 8, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan surrounded by her loving family and friends after a brave fight with cancer.

She was the former Emilie Henschel, born June 13, 1941 in the Town of Russell, daughter of the late Alder & Martha (Mann) Henschel.

Emilie was a 1959 graduate of Elkhart Lake High School.

On April 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to David Mahloch at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel.

Emilie took great pride in raising her family on a dairy farm in the Town of Rhine. She also worked at Wilderness Log Homes & Expedition Log Homes in sales & design.

She was a very active, lifelong member of St. Paul Christian Church, Town of Russell where she was involved in many committees and groups including, Stephens Ministry, Chairperson of the Missions Committee and Church Treasurer. She was also instrumental in the church addition, the 150th Anniversary Committee as well as mentoring church youth. Emilie made sure to always take the time to be with friends and family and was also active in many civic & community events including 4-H and PTA.

Emilie was famous for her cooking, especially her delicious german potato salad. She enjoyed camping, traveling, spending time in her flower beds, gardening and collecting angels. Her most important role was being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was the best cheerleader for all her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, David, five children; Steven (Kelly) Mahloch, Plymouth, grandchildren; Whitney & Ali, Lisa (Dave) Jacobson, Pequot Lakes, MN, grandchildren; Colin (Sonya), Brett, Wesley, David, Samantha (Steven), Austin & Tyler, great granddaughter; Brooklyn, Scott (Kris) Mahloch, Plymouth, grandchildren; Alyssa & Devin, Shawn (Kim) Mahloch, Redondo Beach, CA, grandchildren; Amalya, Hadley & Caiman, Stacy Mahloch, Salida CA, grandchildren; Alexis, Austin & Evan. She is further survived by her brothers; Royal (Joann) Henschel and Bernard (Arlis) Henschel both of Elkhart Lake, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Carol & (Jerry) Truttschel, Donna (Roger) Schwarz, Red Mannenbach, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Sandy Mahloch and Marge Mannenbach.

Funeral services for Emilie will held at 5:00 pm, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at St. Paul Christian Church (N8903 Highway J, Elkhart Lake) with Rev. Keith Hunholz officiating.

Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday from 12:30-4:30 pm when brief family rites will take place.

A memorial has been established for St. Paul Christian Church, Town of Russell.

Emilie's family would like to extend their thanks to the Sheboygan staff at Prevea, Dr. Mark Bettag, Prevea Radiation and St. Nicholas Hospital Nursing, ICU & Emergency for the wonderful care she received.
