Fritsch, Erwin W.
Erwin W. Fritsch, 80, of the town of Wilson, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.
Erwin was born on March 21, 1932 in the town of Wilson a son of the late Erwin and Hulda (Kraemer) Fritsch. He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1949. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. On November 5, 1955 he was united in marriage to Gloria Poth at Trinity Lutheran Town Wilson. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2001. Erwin had been employed with the Sheboygan County Highway Department after which he owned and operated Fritsch Well Drilling for many years.
Erwin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Town Wilson.
Erwin is survived by two daughters, Sandra Bertics of Fitchburg and Sharon (Michael) Czysh of Waldo; a son, Roger (Michelle) Fritsch of Liberty Township, Ohio; three grandchildren, Victoria Bertics, Maxwell Fritsch and Gloria Fritsch; his sister, Lorraine (Lloyd) Gartman of Sheboygan; his brothers, LeRoy (Sandra) Fritsch of Sheboygan and Jerome (Jane) Fritsch of Hubertus and his sister-in-law, Arlyn Fritsch of Sheboygan. Other family and friends also survive. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Bertics and a brother, Harvey Fritsch.
A funeral service for Erwin will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Town Wilson with Rev. Frederick Jabs as officiant. Burial will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery with military rites accorded by VFW Post 9156. Family and friends may gather on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St.; and on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at the church, 6522 S. Business Drive.
A memorial fund has been established in Erwin's name.
Erwin's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center for the care and compassion afforded to them and Erwin.
