Clark, Jean E.

Jean E. Clark, age 87, formerly of 5005 River Heights Drive, Manitowoc, and a three year resident of River Wood Estates died early Monday morning, June 11, 2012 at River Wood Estates under the hospice care of Southern Care Hospice.

Jean was born on May 26, 1925, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late William and Edna (Rieck) Hitzler. She was married to Biorn Clark on June 30, 1965, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2001. Jean was manager of two Maurice's Apparel Shops in Manitowoc and Sheboygan for many years. She taught Fashion Merchandising at Lakeshore Technical College. After retirement, she played her violin in four symphony orchestras: Manitowoc Symphony, Sheboygan Symphony, Silver Lake College Symphony and Highlands Symphony of Florida. In the past she was a member of Branch River Country Club where she enjoyed golfing for many years. Jean was currently a member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ in Two Rivers.

Survivors include two nephews: Robert (Vonda) Clark; Frank Clark; and one niece: Judy (Hal) Perry. She is also survived by many cousins and friends. Jean was preceded by her parents: William and Edna Hitzler; her husband: Biorn Clark; her daughter: Cheryl Walley; one sister and brother-in-law: Evelyn (John) Brezek and one nephew: Charles Rogers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, 2801 Garfield Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the Clark family.
