Jeanette Lau, age 82, of Sheboygan passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Jeanette was born September 27, 1930 in the Town of Gibson, to the late Louis and Mayme (Benesch) Zima. Jeanette attended Mishicot schools and graduated from Mishicot High School. On October 7, 1950, Jeanette was united in marriage to Walter Lau at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot; he preceded her in death on September 15, 1992. Jeanette was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed playing bridge, crosswords, doing crafts - especially knitting and crocheting. She was an avid sports fan always following the Packers and Brewers. Most of all Jeanette loved her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed entertaining and cooking.
Survivors include her children Margaret Treazise of Oak Creek, Gary (Terry) Lau of Mequon, Cathy (Dave) Cramer of South Milwaukee, Carol (Tom) Schaefer of Sheboygan, David Lau of Sheboygan; grandchildren Carolyn, Sara, Donald, Angela, Matthew John, Emily, Alex and Sabrena; five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Walter, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-granddaughter.
Family and friends may call at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 12-2 P.M. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Mike Burch officiating. Burial to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated in Jeanette's name to Immaculate Conception Parish or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Jeanette's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Coulis and Dr. Mancheski for their compassionate care, the 5th floor and emergency room staffs at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their comfort and outstanding care of Jeanette in her final days.
